Drink Tasmania Tasting House, Richmond TAS
Nestled in the quiet, little historic town of Richmond sits the new Drink Tasmania Tasting House.
The latest project from Paley Homes is now the home-base for personalised tastings and tours with Drink Tasmania. Showcasing the very best boutique wines, whisky, gin and other craft beverages, you can find it all drawn under one roof.
The heritage-listed building is soaked in stories and history, dating back to the 1820s. It has been a coach house, dance hall, bakery, boutique and was the first commercial premises for Lark Distillery.
We love to incorporate an element of custom design in each Paley Homes project, so no two builds are the same. Behold, our grand custom stone tiled fire place! Strikingly earthy and handcrafted sitting against dark charcoal walls this beauty draws the eye with interest, and of course the warmth of the fire. Perfect for a cosy afternoon with wine in hand.
As you move through to the bar the quality of the Tasmanian materials lends itself to the bespoke nature of the design, making the space ever so memorable. In particular, the rustic charm of the rough sawn Tasmanian Oak and steel framed shelving paired with Colorbond iron.
With restored slate tiling and Tasmanian Oak flooring throughout, the interior is very much about brining the outdoors in to create a relaxed feel and hero natural Tasmanian products.
